Course Aims:
This Refresher course will provide current certified Occupational First Aid’s (OFA) with the mandatory Certification necessary, for compliance with Fetac and the HSA regulations. Fetac Certification is then updated and valid for a further two years. This popular Refresher course is is a complete revision of the practical and theory of the Occupational First Aid course, and is designed to refresh all the skills learned including CPR and the use of an AED. course.
Course Content:
Lesson 1: First Aid in your Workplace.
Lesson 2: Patient Assessment.
Lesson 3: Respiratory Emergencies.
Lesson 4: Cardiac First Response – CPR & Defibrillation.
Lesson 5: Wounds and Bleeding.
Lesson 6: Altered Levels of Consciousness.
Lesson 7: Musculoskeletal Injuries.
Lesson 8: Burns & Scalds, Chemical, Poisons & Electric Shock.
New Guidelines:
The New Syllabus (FETAC-D20188) Occupational First Aid (OFA) course includes new standard for the Learner with respect to CFR (Cardiac First Response); (BLS/CPR and AED (Defibrillator Training). The course will also teach the new legislation with respect to Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic Acid) administration for cardiac chest pain.
Course Certification:
These skills must be refreshed every 2 years and within 3 months of expiry date, or else the full 3 day course will have to be undertaken.Participants will be reissued with Occupational First Aid certificates in compliance with FETAC and the HSA (Health & Safety Authority) regulations.
Cost:
Cost is €135 per participant attending privately and €475 for Company/groups.
