Course Aims:
This Occupational First Aid (OFA) course will provide participants with the necessary skills to administer First Aid in the Workplace, which conform to new regulations and syllabus.
Course Content:
- Lesson 1: First Aid in the Workplace.
- Lesson 2: Patient Assessment.
- Lesson 3: Respiratory Emergencies.
- Lesson 4: Cardiac First Response.
- Lesson 5: Wounds and Bleeding.
- Lesson 6: Altered Levels of Consciousness.
- Lesson 7: Musculoskeletal Injuries.
- Lesson 8: Burns & Scalds, Chemical/Poisons, Electric Shock.
New Guidelines:
The New Syllabus (FETAC-D20188) Occupational First Aid (OFA) course includes new standard for the Learner with respect to CFR (Cardiac First Response); (BLS/CPR and AED (Defibrillator Training). The course will also teach the new legislation with respect to Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic Acid) administration for cardiac chest pain.
Course Certification:
Participants will receive the Statutory Recognised FETAC Level 5 Certification, which is the only Certificate recognised by the HSA (Health & Safety Authority) which is valid for two years.
Cost:
Cost is €295 per participant attending privately and €130pp x 10 (€1300) for Company/groups. FETAC Certification Costs are an additional €30 per person.

VAT Exempt, All our training is VAT exempt and for Auditing & Accounting purposes the cost of all our training courses can be offset against your entire training budget where specific training grants are available.
