Infection Control Course

im19

Covid 19 has had a profound impact on the world we live in today. In Ireland, like every other country, it has put increased pressure on our economy, most evidently on our frontline workers. However, what if there was something we could do to help combat this pandemic?
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), the best way to tackle the covid 19 issue is to educate ourselves about the virus, in terms of how a virus spreads and the measures we all can put in place to prevent and slow down transmission.
This course goes into detail about infection prevention and control and focuses on general viruses as a whole. In doing so it provides us with essential information about how bacteria is transmitted, the chain of infection as well as cleaning and decontamination practices.
**Can be completed in partnership with the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) course we additionally provide.

Who is this for?

This course is ideal for everyone interested in understanding more about viruses and also understanding our role in combating them. This is especially important if you work in healthcare organisations like hospitals. However, good infection control and prevention practices can apply to a range of other organisations, like nursing homes, schools, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality organisations.
